Soli after Trento-Verona 3-1: "A match like that gives the team even more substance"

"We expected a different match from the one played at the beginning of January for the Coppa Italia, and this was indeed the case, - explained Itas Trentino coach Fabio Soli after the match -. Tonight Verona took the court putting in even more energy than what it had shown on that occasion and, in my opinion, we were good at regaining lucidity when we were in trouble. In the first part of the match, we did not always offer quality volleyball, especially compared to what we had produced recently. We grew in attack and started to work better in batting, also managing our shots from a tactical point of view. I believe that from the first point this was one of our best games in the break in terms of block touches, defence and winning blocks. A match like that gives the team even more substance and awareness that they can hold their own even in difficult moments.”
Itas Trentino will be back on court in three days, on Wednesday 17 January, for the last round of the group stage of the 2024 CEV Champions League Pool B to be played again at the ilT quotidiano Arena against the Polish Asseco Resovia Rzeszow. In the league, however, the closest engagement is scheduled for Sunday, January 21st at 4 p.m. in Piacenza for the fourth round of the return leg (the fifteenth overall).
