Rain doesn't stop the yellow-blue party: Piazza Duomo celebrates the Champions

A gloomy day, marked by more heavy rainfall during the early afternoon, was not enough to dampen the enthusiasm of yellow-blue fans for the new European Champions. Although the rain accompanied much of the event, there were over five hundred supporters who gathered in Piazza Duomo, in the heart of Trento, to applaud Trentino Itas, fresh winners of the 2024 CEV Champions League.
On Tuesday evening, after Sunday’s big celebrations on court in Antalya and Monday afternoon’s at the ilT quotidiano Arena on their return to the city, it was the turn of the City Hall to host players and staff, almost exactly one year after the previous occasion. After the Scudetto, here comes the Champions League.
On the stage set up for the occasion were all the protagonists of the splendid continental ride that had just been completed. The audience in attendance spared no effort to intone choruses and let themselves go to authentic roars and applause: the best way to put the seal on a great sporting year, the 24th for Trentino Volley. And after the customary thanks from the local (city and provincial) institutions, there was room for autographs, selfies and hugs, with Laurenzano acting as the first singer for his team-mates and fans.
On Wednesday morning, there was the first official reception by the institutions: at noon in the Depero Room of the Palazzo della Provincia.
