2023/24 season ended with gala dinner in Caldonazzo

The gala dinner among players, executives, staff and sponsors at Corte Trapp in Caldonazzo, held on Thursday evening in the presence of more than 200 people, officially closed the 2023/24 season of Trentino Volleyball, the 24th of activity.
In the next few hours a substantial portion of the Gialloblù squad will leave the City to return home and enjoy some well-deserved rest; however, there will also be some who will be back on the court within a few days, such as Michieletto, Sbertoli, Lavia, Podrascanin, Laurenzano, D'Heer and Magalini, who are immediately engaged with their respective national teams.
"There are very few clubs in Italy that have had the honour of winning the Champions Cup or Champions League: seven in all, and only three of them are still active said President Bruno Da Re, taking the microphone in the middle of the evening - . We are among them and we are proud of that, because winning the Champions League is a great achievement. I thank all those who have contributed to bringing home such a result; I do not want to burden staff and players with expectations, but I reiterate that the men's team in the last two seasons has opened a cycle, winning in Italy and Europe’.
"They have been four beautiful and very intense years, they have literally flown by,  admitted captain Marko Podrascanin, who was called to speak in front of all those present by Da Re himself. In Trento I had a great time and I fulfilled my dream of winning the Scudetto and the Champions League, living some beautiful days, some of the most beautiful days of my life, like that of 5 May. I am convinced that mine is not a farewell but a goodbye. We will meet again in the future".
The institutions were represented by the Sports Councillor of the Municipality of Trento Salvatore Panetta, the General Manager of the Autonomous Province of Trento Sergio Bettotti and the President of the provincial Coni Paola Mora; they all publicly thanked Trentino Volley for what they had done not only in the men's but also in the women's field.
Before the ritual souvenir photos and the cutting of the cake there was also room for two particularly emotional moments. The first was the announcement of the winners of the ‘Barchetti Mvp Cup’, which went to Alessandro Michieletto (men's competition) and Francesca Michieletto (women's competition). The two brothers donated their prize (two thousand euro) offered by the Gialloblù's automotive partner in favour of the Ski4smile association, which carries out the Alpine skiing teaching project aimed at girls and boys with disabilities. The second was a real out of programme, with Oreste Cavuto taking the microphone to read a letter written in his own hand to publicly thank Trentino Volleyball at the end of his experience in the Gialloblù: "I arrived a boy and I leave a man thanks to an environment that has always known how to transmit the right values to me. I am proud to have been part of this club for more than ten years" he said. “The doors of this club will always be open to you,” President Da Re replied.
