Playoffs: with Semifinal berth, Trentino Volley already secures spot in 2026 European Cups

Thanks to their qualification for the Semifinals, clinched with a victory in Game 4 of the 2025 Scudetto Playoff Quarterfinals in Cisterna di Latina, Itas Trentino has already secured participation in European competition for the 2025/26 season.
Regardless of how the rest of the Playoffs unfold, being among the final four teams in the race for the national title guarantees at least a spot in the 2026 CEV Cup. Trentino Volley would take part in the CEV Cup only if they fail to reach the Scudetto Finals and then also lose the third-place playoff series (to be played between the semifinal losers in a best-of-three format).
Italy’s three berths in the 2026 CEV Champions League will be awarded to the two Scudetto Playoff finalists and the winner of the third-place playoff series.
This result ensures that Trentino Volley will compete in an international tournament for the 18th consecutive season. To qualify for the 2025 Italian Super Cup (scheduled for the start of next season in a Final Four format), Itas Trentino must reach the Scudetto Finals. Alternatively, they could qualify if Civitanova (already in the Italian Cup final alongside Verona) reaches the Scudetto Finals as well. The four Supercoppa spots go to the Italian Cup finalists and the Scudetto Playoff finalists. If any teams overlap, the next in line is the highest-ranked team from the regular season, which in this case is Trentino.
