Vibo Valentia, December 10th 2017

Diatec Trentino suffered and stumbled, tired because of the intense agenda with a lot of away matches, but in the end wins the fifth match in a row, gaining positions in the ranking of SuperLega. Tonight the yellow-blues won in PalaValentia of Vibo Valentia, a field in which the last time they had won was four years ago (on March 27th 2013), thanks to a 3-2.
Besides the many travels and matches of this period, Giannelli and his team did great things in Calabria too, in the longest travel of their regular season, stopping two times the opponents from surpassing them. Opponents that had always won previously in their home field. In order to start positively the four group phases away from Trento (after the match of today the team is going in Frosinone), the yellow-blues had to do everything they could, most of all taking advantage on the abilities of Hoag in the second half of the match (best scorer of his team and mvp). Also Kozamernik's services, Chiappa that from the second set on was the first string of the team, taking the place of a battered De Pandis, and Kovacevic (great in the tie break) made a difference in a match that Trento seemed to have under control at first, but then risked to lose being 2-5 in the tie-break.  In the ranking Diatec Trentino is now at eighth position (just four points less than the team at fourth position) and has surpassed Milan.
