The seventh seasonal episode of “Trentino Volley in FM dj per un giorno”, the broadcasting that Radio Dolomiti dedicates every week to Diatec Trentino, enabled listeners to know the thoughts of the team captain Filippo Lanza about the period Trentino Volley went through and about his expectations before the match of Sunday against Modena.
“The difficulties we run into at the beginning of the championship were probably caused by the third set we lost against Milan during the first day, after we lead by several points- said Pippo during the 20 minutes of live broadcast-. Because of the defeat against Revivre we lost the confidence we needed during that period and the after-effects have damaged us for a long time. Fortunately, the recovery with Latina and last week victory in Piacenza made us turning over the page and offered us positive signals; the litmus test is certainly represented by Sunday’s home match against Modena. With another positive result we can really get through this negative period. By figuring this whole thing out we’ll become better players but also better people who will act more responsibly. For us the match against Azimut it is a real derby – continued Lanza- it is a very important match not only because of fans’ high expectations but also because we want to take the field and fight for our team. It will be a memorable match. I grew up in Trento, here I spent amazing years and I hope to give something more to this Club and to this town. I’d be honoured to become a cornerstone of Trentino Volley. I also want to congratulate our fans who are supporting us during this period; it couldn’t be taken for granted because Palatrento is used to other results”.
