The Super League PlayOffs for UnipolSai 2015, with match 1 of the quarterfinals. In this first round of the final, the ENERGY TI Diatec Trentino will challenge the Exprivia Neldiritto Molfetta in a series of best of three games that will award a pass to the semifinals. The comparison kicks off tomorrow night - Wednesday, April 15th - at PalaTrento, with kick-off scheduled for 8.30pm. Broadcasted Live TV on Rai Sport 2 and on Radio Dolomiti.
The Trentino Volley is changing phases and focuses exclusively on the decisive stage of the Italian championship, which comes first to the board thanks to the first place obtained in regular season with two points ahead of Modena and twenty-one wins in twenty-four total games played. Winning the regular season will allow Birarelli and teammates to enjoy the home court once more, but the opponents will try in every possible set to take that place, starting from tomorrow night with Molfetta, and overcoming several pitfalls despite defying two teams divided into ranking of thirty lengths (62 to 60).

The diagonally-opposite setter Hierrezuelo-Torres is among the most interesting of the season and we tried hard not losing the second leg in Puglia in January. "For their debut in the Super League PlayOffs for UnipolSai 2015, ENERGY TI Diatec Trentino will show their full force, relying also on the contribution of the opposite Mitar Djuric that during the trip to the Russian team remained in Trento to train to improve his physical condition and technique. For those that will start tomorrow, it will be the eighth in their career playoffs with captain Emanuele Birarelli, which is the player who has the highest number of appearances in the post season, before Kaziyski (7 - the same number of Radostin Stoytchev that in the previous six came always in the final) while the beginners are three: the setter Simone Giannelli (on the bench, in Game 5 of the championship final in 2013), the Spiker Titian Mazzone and the opposite Gabriele Nelli.
PREVIOUSLY Trentino Volley and Molfetta match tomorrow will be their fifth, and the first in the playoffs championship. Stats look favorable for yellow-blues 3-1, 3-0 with victories obtained between November 3rd, 2013 and October 29th, 2014 at PalaTrento and that of January 26th, 2014 in Molfetta. The last precedent, however, is favorable to Puglia, January 25th, 2015 that have been imposed for 3-2 to PalaPoli with partial of 20-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19, 20-22 with Hierrezuelo mvp. In Trentino though the Exprivia has never won a set.
SERIES The quarter finals are played for the best of three games; the team that precedes the turn in the series is the team that wins two games. After Game 1 of tomorrow, the teams will be back on the field to PalaPoli Molfetta for Game 2 on Sunday 19th at 5pm. Game 3, if there was a need, will again be scheduled in Trentino Wednesday, April 22nd at 8:30pm . Who can proceed the turn for the semifinals will be the winner of Perugia-Verona, whose series climbing ahead 1-0 by virtue of a 3-2 success achieved last Saturday at PalaEvangelisti. The other two quarterfinals are Modena-Ravenna (1-0) and Treia-Latin (0-1).
REFEREES The match will be refereed by Luca Sobrero (referee of Carcare - Savona, in Serie A since 1996 and internationally since 2001) and Mauro Goitre, referee from Collegno (Turin) since 2008. The two men are in their third joint arbitration this season in the men's championship: the fourteenth to Sobrero (who previously directed Verona-Trento 3-0 on November 1st, Trento-Piacenza 3-0 December 28th and Trento-Perugia on 10th January in Bologna), the twelfth to Goitre (in PalaTrento for Trent-Padua 3-0 in October 19th and Trento-Latina 3-1 on February 22nd.
TV, RADIO AND INTERNET Trento-Molfetta will be a global media event. It will be broadcasted live on RAI Sport 2, present both on DTT and on Sky TV, channel 228, with the commentary in the care of Maurizio Colantoni and Claudio Galli; the match will also be available in video and audio streaming on the web, at www.raisport.rai.it/dl/raisport/multimedia/diretta.html, and will count upon an intercontinental exposure (52 nations connected) thanks to the programmed live broadcastings by Sportsklub, Canal+ Deportes, Sports Tv, Bein Sport Arabia, Bein Sport Usa, Bein Sport France, Bandsport, Sky Mexico, Btv, Sport 5, Sport Tv Portugal, Dolce Sport, Perform e Voyo.bg.
