Trento, June 20th 2017
The third weekend of the Intercontinental Round of World League 2017 was characterized by six victories out of nine matches for the players of Trentino Volley and their national teams. Italy (of Antonov, Giannelli and Vettori) lost two of the three matches and in Anversa (Belgium), after winning against France on Friday evening, lost the other two against the home team and Canada. This way the Italian team lost the chance to get to the Final Six in Curitiba. At the end of the tournament, between July 5th and 9th, there will be the Brazil of Eder, as the home team but also as a team that got the pass thanks to the two victories in Cordoba. The new player of Trentino Volley didn’t played too much in the Argentinian weekend (few minutes in the first two matches), but got the chance to confront Solé at the ne in the second match (he switched the team with Solé for next season), playing in the final moments of the match against the Argentinian team. In the second category, the Slovenian team won three matches and it will play the Final Four in Australia next weekend. In the three victories collected in Egypt (Cairo), the player of Trentino Volley Kozamernik wasn’t a protagonist, because he didn’t play, due to an injury of a finger. Jan will recover for the semifinal against Nederland, scheduled for next Saturday in Gold Coast.
