Alessandro Guazzaloca and Alessandro Russo

Trento, 5 June 2017

The management staff of Trentino Volley is relentlessly working on the formation of next season’s team and technical staff in order to provide Lorenzetti with the top men needed. Some changes have occurred, so Luca Baratto and Davide Lama, athletic trainer and physiotherapist respectively, will leave their roles due to personal reasons. The new athletic trainer appointed for next season is Alessandro Guazzaloca, while Alessandro Russo will take over as physiotherapist.
“They are two top class professionals and we are delighted their accepted to join us - explained GM Bruno Da Re-. Due to the many games we’ll play during next season their role will be fundamental. We chose them in accordance with Angelo Lorenzetti, with whom they have already worked together in the past. We would like to thank Davide Lama, after five years with Trentino Volley, who will now assist the National Team, and Luca Baratto, who refused our proposal because of personal reasons, which we accept and respect”.
The new athletic trainer Alessandro Guazzaloca is well known in the italian and international volleyball scene; 50 years old from Modena, he graduated in PE in Bologna, he’s been working in the field for more than twenty years for teams like Modena, Treviso, Moskow, Piacenza and last season in Perugia. He worked for the national team of Russia and Italy and many football team as well; with Lorenzetti he has already won a national title.
Alessandro Russo, new physiotherapist, comes from Piacenza where he was born thirty-five years ago and where he has worked since. He graduated in Parma in Physiotherapy, and has later worked for eleven years for Piacenza volleyball men team, where he also worked along with coach Lorenzetti for five years, winning one national title and a Supercoppa Italiana.
