Forty-eight hours after the play-off semi-final against Perugia, Diatec Trentino is still great in PalaTrento. Tonight the number one on the board of the playoffs showed to be stronger than the fatigue (physical and mental) due to the two and a half hours of play necessary to overcome Sir Safety in game 3 and inaugurating with another victory-marathon (147 minutes of game) the series of final championship against Modena.
Once again the team of Stoytchev performed with strong character: in fact, they surprised Parmareggio winning game 1 thanks to a suffered but significant 3-2, scored in front of a warm enthusiastic audience, which - after two seasons - couldn’t wait to revive such an important match as this one in its own facility.
The contribution of the 3,500 supporters was very important to defeat an opponent so rich in talent and of alternatives; the field resisted just when it seemed that was going to be overcomed. Coming out better of the starting blocks and showing more freshness and lucidity, Modena was ahead with 0-2, exploiting the great impact of Vettori and Petric’s game. In the most difficult moment of its match, once again Trento was able to find the right look between attack and block, deservedly winning the third period and the fourth at the benefits. In the tie-break the pressure of PalaTrento and an amazing Kaziyski (MVP of the match and well backed by Djuric - both authors of 21 points) led the team towards a victory which was suffered but of an extraordinary value to the economy of the series. A standing ovation also for the great game of Captain Birarelli (73% in attack and three heavy blocks), for Colaci (outstanding in defense) and for the young Giannelli, who was thrown in the fray in the final of the second set and polished in the remaining partials in direction to lead  his team to the 1-0 with worthy and precision.
