The countdown is ending. After a very long period of waiting (almost 24 months, that is to say more than 670 days), PalaTrento is ready to welcome a match of the most important European competition: the CEV Champions League. In a week, on Thursday January 18th at 8:30pm, the building in via Fersina is hosting the match of the third day of Pool E, in which Trentino Diatec and Arkas Izmir will play one against the other. Turkish team trained by Glenn Hoag (Nicholas' father) composed by players with the caliber of Jovovic, Sanchez Bozhulev, Fromm and Joao Paulo Bravo.
This will be the seasonal European debut at home for the yellow-blues, just returned from the first two rounds of the torunament with a victory (3-1) in Maaseik and a defeat (just for 2-3) in Kedzierzyn-Kozle.
It will be the 48th European torunament of Trentino Volley's history for PalaTrento, the 33rd of all time in Champions League, where till now the yellow-blues have won 29 times; the only 3 defeat are the ones at the tie break with Olympiacos on January 20 2010 and with Kedzierzyn-Kozle on December 14 2011 and for a 0-3 with Belgorod of February 12 2014. The last victory at home in Champions League dates back to 17 March 2016, in a challenge with Belgorod (3-0 in the first round of the Playoffs 12), while the most recent continental appearance is dated April 12 2017 : 3-0 on Tours in the first match of the final of 2017 CEV Cup.
