Trento, November 6th 2017

Break on Monday and Tuesday morning for Diatec Trentino. After the defeat (1-3) at the Palatrento in the Adige’s derby with Verona, the coaching staff planned a day and a half without training. A longer pause than usual, which was also possible thanks to the next nine days without matches. The nearest event is on Wednesday 15th November at the PalaEvangelisti of Perugia against the leader Sir Safety for the postponement of the seventh turn of SuperLega’s regular season (8.30 p.m.). The match was scheduled three days late compared to the rest of the matches so that the Umbrian team could play, between Wednesday 8th and Sunday 12th, the third preliminary turn of the 2018 CEV Volleyball Champions League. Therefore during this week Diatec Trentino will have the opportunity of improving their game mechanism focusing on what caused more problems in the first six days of season.
As the setter Simone Gianelli affirmed after the match of Sunday: “At the moment what we’re missing is the continuity and this increases our disappointment because we didn’t gain any points in the rank. During the match with Verona the beginning was encouraging but after Jaeschke’s turn at service we lost our self-confidence, the same self-confidence that we didn’t rescore even during the second set. We started to play well again in the third partial thanks also to our public that supported us in an extraordinary way without stopping even when we lost the fourth partial. For this reason, we have to praise what our fans did for us. It was an extraordinary gesture that we’ll never forget. Now we have a pretty long time to train, rolling up our sleeves because we have a lot of work to do".
