The match report. Lorenzetti made De Pandis playing again as regular player switching with Chiappa in the libero role, and Diatec Trentino confirmed the six players already seen in field in Kedzierzyn-Kozle: Giannelli as setter, Vettori as opposite, Eder and Zingel as middle-blockers, Lanza and Kovacevic as spikers. Gi Group Monza lines up Shoji as setter, Finger as opposite, Plotnytskiy and Dzavoronok as spikers, Barone e Beretta as middle-blockers, Rizzo as libero. Gi Group Monza started in a better way finding an important break (2-5) thanks to Finger and the Yellow-Blues are obliged to call a technical time out. In the second half thanks to a Vettori’s ace the teams got closer (6-7), then Kovacevic fills the gap at 13-13 with a pipe after a long exchange. The balance is broken once again by Monza that gained another minimum lead (18-20) with Finger and Plotnytskiy. Lorenzetti’s time out didn't produce any positive: once back in field Finger struck again in the net area and the Monza’s block stopped Lanza three times and the guests won the first set for 19-25. Diatec Trentino had some difficulties also at the beginning of the second set because with its services and its blocks Monza was the master of the field with a score of 0-6, Lorenzetti has already ended his time-out but the team up, against the wall, tries to recover. With a stronger Hoag in attack and Kozamernik at service, first of all the yellow-blues try to reduce the gap (5-10) and then they even bring the score up to 12-11 after a number of breaks that reawakens PalaTrento. Trentino Diatec is becoming increasingly aware of its tools and speed up the match thanks to Kovacevic’s block on Finger and to Eder’s ace (17-14). Monza disappears (22-18) and Trento, taking advantage of the situation, continues to fight ending the match during the partials with a score of 25-21. On the wave of the enthusiasm, the locals get into high gear even throughout the third set (6-1, 9-2), guided by Kovacevic and Eder. Falasca makes Botto enter the field in exchange of Plotnytskiy and fixes the opposite-setter diagonal (Walsh and Hirsch enter the field) without trying to find positive answers because Diatec Trentino’s attack continues to prevent the rivals from gaining ground especially thanks to Hoag (10-4, 13-6, 16-7). The yellow-blues reach the 2-1 even because the rivals get nervous giving to Trento the possibility to take the score up to 20-10, 25-14. During the fourth set begins a close game; after Trento’s good start (6,2), Monza takes the score up to 7-7 but the balance is precarious. Hoag at service and Kovacevic in counterattack rebuild an important margin (15-10). First of all, Trento defends its position (16-13) and then it continues to fight (20-14, 22-15) bringing to the win of Trentino Volley.
