Unipolsai SuperLeague 2016/17 back on the field tomorrow, Tuesday November 1st , for the seventh day of regular season. After two home matches, comes the time for Diatec Trentino to play the third away match of regular season: the yellow-blue team will fight for a win on the field of Bunge Ravenna. The kick-off is scheduled at Pala De André at 6.00 p.m, with a live reportage of the match on Radio Dolomiti and a live streaming on Lega Volley Channel at www.sportube.tv.

DIATEC TRENTINO IS HERE The week after the return from Brazil has been archived with a smile and six important points. The yellow-blue team arrives in Romagna with the aim of continuing its run for the first place, currently occupied by Civitanova and Modena, that have played one more match.

After the splendid success in Perugia on Saturday night, coach Angelo Lorenzetti still asks for lots of attention, presenting many possible pitfalls of the match of Tuesday evening: "The five sets played in Padova a few weeks ago showed how matches are never easy in this league, especially away matches are hard to be played. We will have to pay attention for this match if we want to add more points to our ranking. Ravenna is in a great physical form, the team shows a beautiful team play, fast and effective, and that has drawn definitely benefited from the arrival of the spiker Lyneel and the setter Spirito, two players who are making the most of this opportunity to prove their worth".

To leave nothing to chance, the team has began preparing for the match on Sunday evening already before the departure, and had a training at PalaTrento today in the early afternoon.

Trentino Volley will be at Pala De André (where it hasn't played a single competitive match in almost three years) in full force, allowing Lorenzetti to enjoy a wide selection for the composition of the starting six.

The match will be the 672nd overall in the history of Diatec Trentino, the 410th ever in regular season, trying to get the 7th win in the current season.

For Filippo Lanza, great protagonist versus Perugia, will be the 60th match as captain of Trentino Volley.

RIVALS With seven points got in the first six matches, among them the ones surprisingly got against Modena and Perugia, Bunge Ravenna is one of the main surprises of the beginning of this season. Back to Ravenna after two season of forced exile in Forlì, the renovated team from Romagna trained by the former coach of Sora Fabio Soli, found great support by its audience (they saw it winning against Latina and going until the tiebreak against the Italian Champions) but at the same time won also some away games. On Saturday evening, the yellow-red team won in Molfetta, in the direct match between two teams that aim to the play off. The good start of the season is due to the great contribution of the block (the second of the tournament after Verona, thanks to great players like Ricci) and to the encouraging impact of the new players Spirito, director immediately in feeling with the strikers, and Lyneel. The French in zone 4 is, together with the certainty of Torres (third bomber of the SuperLeague), the main point of reference of the former Verona and Molfetta setter for the attack of highball. Also the Dutch Van Garderen, in his second Italian season, is showing interesting things, as the second position in the rank of the players with his same role shows. Other important players are the middle hitter Bossi (Champion in Modena las May) and the libero Goi, grown behind Andrea Bari in the last three years.
PRECEDENTS Tomorrow’s match will be the eleventh competition ever between the two teams, which started confronting each other with continuity in the season 2011/12. The balance sheet is fully favorable for the yellow-blue team (9-1) but the team from Romagna won the most recent match: February 3rd 2016, won at the tiebreak at PalaTrento in the sign of Torres (25 points with 59%). Before that day, the Club from Romagna had never been able to win a set against Trentino Volley, which in the past conquered Pala De Andrè winning 3-0, from the first time (February 26th 2016), then the second (March 10th 2013) and the third one (October 27th 2013). Last two home matches for the yellow-red team was played in Forlì (November 16th 2014 and November 15th 2015). Trentino Volley has Ravenna’s origin: in May 2000 the President Diego Mosna bought the rights of SuperLeague from the Valleverde Porto, winner of one Championship and three European Cup in the ‘90s.

REFEREES The match will be directed by Umberto Zanussi (from Treviso, in the SuperLeague since 2006) and Fabrizio Saltalippi from Perugia – in the SuperLeague since 1995 and international referee since 2011. The two referees direct the fourth match in the SuperLeague UnipolSai 2016/17, the first one together. Last precedent of Trentino Volley with Zanussi was January 17th 2016 (Trentino Volley won 3-2 in Padua) and the last one with Zanussi was April 21st 2016 (Trentino Volley won 3-1 in Modena, in the third match of Championship’s semi-final).
