On Sunday November 5th the entire 6th round of regular season of SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/2018 will be played. Diatec Trentino will be back on the field of PalaTrento in front of its public in order to play the traditional “derby of Adige” against Calzedonia Verona. The match is starting at 6:00 pm and will be live on Radio Dolomiti and on Lega Volley Channel on the web site www.elevensports.it/superlega.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO: The bitter defeat that the team suffered in Civitanova Marche on Wednesday made the yellow-blues lose some positions in the league table, falling till the 5th place, shared with Padova and Latina. In order to get closer to the 4th place Lanza and his team aim to an immediate success in the most awaited appointment in the home season, and also want to confirm the progresses they made during the match at the Eurosuole Forum.
“After all the difficulties that we have had in this first part of regular season, every match is now very important if we want to regain some positions- admitted the coach of Diatec Trentino Angelo Lorenzetti talking about their commitment “The derby against Verona is important because it can give us the opportunity to shine in front of our public and we also want to show everybody that everything good we did against Lube didn't happen by accident. It will be a compelling battle since Calzedonia need this victory as much as we did; it is a well organized team, with a good defense and a good block that can make a difference during the side-out”.
The technician from Marche will have the entire team at his disposal: Uros Kovacevic too (one of the two formers, the other is Aidan Zingel) is regularly training with the team and will be another player for the place 4. The last uncertainties about the starting six will be dispelled during the last two trainings before the match, that will take place on this afternoon and on Sunday morning. On Sunday morning Trentino Volley will play its 724th official match (502 won matches and 221 defeats, the ninth of the current season, and will play in order to get its 18th victory in the home field of the year 2017.
THE OPPONENTS: The begin of the season for Calzedonia Verona hasn't had many satisfactions; there has been injuries (the one of Djuric in particular, that could stop his season in advance), defeats and the elimination from the Coppa Italia because of Modena. The team, whose coach is Nikola Grbic, didn't triumph many times this year and is coming to Trento with the intention of gaining some confidence back. So these difficulties explain the 11th place they occupy on the league table: a completely renewed team that didn't find its balance, two defeats in their home field against the two tops on the list(Modena and Perugia), but also one less match played in comparison with the other teams because the match on the home field against Castellana Grotte will be only rescheduled in December. The team has been completely renewed since the last season, bringing back in PalaOlimpia some players that already played in Veneto (the setter Spirito, the middle blockers Birarelli and Pajenk and the libero Pesaresi) and completing the regular team with two american spikers, Jaeschke and the Canadian player Maar (former Verona). The opposite spiker, substitute for Djuric, the team is trusting the Slovenian player Stern, that in the last season often alternated in the first and second position with the greek spiker. During the first days of championship Verona demonstred to be an away-match team, always winning during the tie-break: in the first round in Latina and last Sunday in Padua.
PRECEDENTS: On Sunday in PalaTrento the 30th match between the two clubs will be played: the so called derby of Adige has often been won by the yellow-blues (22 won matches). Verona only won 7 times, but 3 of them happened in PalaTrento. The last time was in February 28th 2016, a 3-1 whose leading players were Kovacevic (mvp with 18) and Zingel (8 with an 89% in the first half). After this won match, Trento has always defeated them. During the last season Trentino Volley won both the matches of regular season 3-0: in November 9th 2016 in PalaOlimpia (with Giannelli mvp) and in February 8th 2017 in PalaTrento, with Stokr as best spiker (19 scores).
THE REFEREES: the match will be supervised by the couple from Turin Giuliano Venturi (in the highest category since 2007) and Marco Braico (in Serie A since 2003). The referees are at their third direction of SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/2018; the only other match with Trento for Venturi was the 3-0 victory in the home field against Ravenna in January 21st 2017, while Braico arbitrated the match 2 of the quarterfinals playoff scudetto in March 8th 2017 in Monza, when the yellow-blues won in only three sets.
RADIO, TV AND INTERNET: The match will be reported live by Radio Dolomiti, network partner of Trentino Volley, commented by Stefano Piffer and Andrea Cobbe. The connection with PalaTrento will happen in “Campioni di Sport”, the sporting distributor of Via Missioni Africane. The frequencies for whoever wants to listen to the regional network are available on the home page www.trentinovolley.it and on www.radiodolomiti.com there will be the radio live streaming.
The video streaming will be live on the web site “Lega Volley Channel” on www.elevensports.it/superlega; this service is for hire.
The match will be transmitted on tv on Monday November 6th at 9:50 pm on RTTR, partner tv of the via Trener society, right after the “RTTR Volley” and on replay at midnight of the same day. Finally the score will be constantly adjourned on internet on the site of Lega Pallavolo serie A (www.legavolley.it) and on the site www.trentinovolley.it and on the yellow-blues social networks (www.trentinovolley.it/facebook and www.trentinovolley.it/twitter).
TICKETS AND MERCHANDISING: The pre-selling of the tickets will be active until Saturday night at 7:00 pm in the Promoevent offices, in ia Suffragio 10 a Trento, and anytime on internet clicking on http://www.vivaticket.it/ita/event/diatec-trentino-verona/105482. The tickets will be available also in the boxes of PalaTrento, that will be active since 5:00pm, same hour at which the building opens too. The boxes will be open until the end of the second set, after that it won't be possible to get into PalaTrento to see the match.
Inside, behind the long stand in the northern side, there will be the selling point of the yellow-blues merchandising; many Trentino Volley products will be sold.
