Trento, November 13th  2017

Last night the preliminary round of the 2018 CEV Champions League were concluded and eight teams will join the first twelve and complete the line-up for this year competition. Only one team (Toulose) reversed the loss in the first round winning the pass for the final part of the tournament; the French team won 3-1 in home match after the 3-0 defeat suffered in Serbia against Novi Sad and the golden set that allowed to continue their path. Finnish team Sastamala, despite losing 3-1 against Budejovice, managed to win the golden set and conquered their first ever qualification the the Main Phase of the competition.
The draw that will decide the pairing of the teams will be held in Moskow (Russia) on Friday November 17th at 4pm CET (live on YouTube channel CEV); four nations will be represented by three teams (Russia, Italy, Poland and Turkey), while Germany, France and Belgium will bring two. The first day of the Main Phase will be on December 5th.
