Trento, May 10th, 2015
The Diatec Trentino back in the series of Super League PlayOff Final for UnipolSai 2015. Overcoming the Parmareggio Modena in the unusual but apparently acceptable (sold out stadium since last Thursday) 3-0 in the game 3, the team has indeed won again the thirty point advantage in match with Emilia and at the same time has brought us just one step from winning the league, which could come as early as Wednesday at PalaPanini in case of a new victory.
Stoytchev team has earned the first win of two matches (possibly the second on Sunday 17th back at PalaTrento) earning high levels of play with a home advantage - always favored in the first three acts of match, with more than 4,360 spectators at PalaTrento, accompanied in an extraordinary manner in every action of their team, slanting the balance towards the Trentino.
Galvanized by the wonderful atmosphere created by their fans, Birarelli fielded a large mental boost (useful in the the first set, when they were under 14 to 18 and then in the third when Modena was leading 5-8), and a determination to show an excellent volleyball. To prove there were twelve blocks gathered in three sets (three each with Birarelli, Giannelli, Solé and Djuric), eight aces down to only ten defensive errors and a cage that sent Petric first and then all the others attackers in Emilia. The victory of Trentino Volley in this match is also explained by the audacity of Stoytchev, sending six of the young teammates like Giannelli, coming from Bolzano which was rewarded with an extraordinary craftsmanship that over the blocks and an ace with quality. The MVP award is explained well for being able to keep off the attackers high ball (Djuric scored 15 times, 12 Kaziyski, Lanza 8) without forgetting, the central player.
