Trento, November 2nd 2017
After coming back in the late evening of Wednesday from the away match of Civitanova Marche, the team had today the possibility to rest before starting the training for the next match of SuperLega. Sunday November 5th the yellow-blues will play at home again, to face Calzedonia Verona for the 6th turn of regular season 2017/18. The match will begin at 18.
The team will train twice on Friday and once on Saturday afternoon in view of the 30th Derby dell’Adige; the full team will be at disposal, with the gradual reintegration of Uros Kovacevic.
The Serbian left-handed spiker is one of the many formers that Sunday will face their past, a challenge which concerns five more players as well (four without considering Mitar Djuric, absent). The middle blocker Aidan Zingel, as well as Uros, came to Trento from Verona after seven seasons; Emanuele Birarelli will be in third position on the other side behind the net, he is the memorable captain of the last pennant of Diatec Trentino and together with Colaci is recordman for attendance in the yellow-blue shirt with 345 official matches between 2007 and 2015.
The coaches are formers as well; Nikola Grbic wore the shirt of Trentino between 2007 and 2009 leading the team as setter during the first historical titles of the Club’s history (pennant and Champions League), while Angelo Lorenzetti has trained in Verona during the season 2006/07.
Statistics about the match between the two teams tell about a Trentino Volley which has often won (22-7 the full calculation), ensuring themselves the entire stakes, as suggest the 13 victories for 3-0 (more frequent outcome) and the 4 3-1. The last satisfaction of Verona at PalaTrento is dated February 28th 2016 and has been marked by Kovacevic, who led the match with 18 points, to a 1-3.
