Thursday, January 22nd, Matey Kaziyski will write, at PalaTrento, another page of his extraordinary and exclusive story with Trentino Volley, started back in September 2007, and dotted with many important successes (4 World Cups, 3 Champions League, 3 Championships, 3 Coppa Italia, 1 Supercoppa Italia).
During the 2015 CEV Cup rematch against Craiova’s Romanians, the Bulgarian hitter will rack up his 300th presence in official games played for via Trener’s Club. A very prestigious goal: in fact Matey is only the third player to reach this quota, surpassed only by his teammate Andrea Bari (who played 339 games between 2005 and 2013) and the current Captain Emanuele Birarelli, who now boasts 318 games and passed the quota of 300 at the beginning of the season. Kaziyski will reach this quota on Thursday, during his seventh season wearing the yellow-blue shirt, with whom he played 51,2% of the actual 586 official games that via Trener’s Club played since it’s birth fourteen and a half years ago. The specs for the single seasons speak of 34 games played in 2007/08, 49 in 2008/09, 55 in 2009/10, 43 in 2010/11, 49 in 2011/12, 47 in 2012/13 and 22 in the current one. Matey won 250 of the 299 games competed up to now, losing only 49 of them and missing just 16.
Kaziyski is also Trentino Volley’s best scorer ever, with his 4,390 points total, scored with an average of 14.68 points per game; he made his personal record in a single game on January 6th 2013, exactly 2 years ago, scoring 31 points against Perugia. The final score was: Trento-Perugia 3-2.
