Champions League, Tuesday at the BLM Group Arena the tenth gialloblù participation begins

At the BLM Group Arena, the countdown for the debut in the 2021 CEV Champions League is almost over. On Tuesday 29 September, the facility of Via Fersina will host the three matches of the Pool F of the first preliminary phase of the most important continental club competition that assigns only one spot at the second and last preliminary phase.
Trentino Itas, which on that occasion will start its tenth participation at the championship (won three times, between 2009 and 2011), will have the task of organizing within the BLM Group Arena all three matches of the group F, which will see it against the English from IBB Polonia London and the Serbs from Ok Vojvodina Seme Novi Sad, as the draw at the end of August in Luxembourg has declared.
The program expects one match a day between 29 September and 1 October, to be played always at 20.30. The debut match on Tuesday evening will have the hosts against London, on Wednesday the match between English and Serbs will be played, while on Thursday the group will end with the match between Trento and Novi Sad. The first classified of the ranking drawn up at the end of the three matches will pass the turn, which will face in a new group the first classified of Pool D and Pool F.
IBB Polonia London will show up in Italy for the first time in its history; never before Tuesday the English team, founded in 1973 from two Polish students, had played a match against a team in our country. To be the best for the appointment, the formation of the Capital has undergone in the last week a series of exhibition games in Greece, facing Olympiacos Piraeus, AOK Kifisia and Aons Milon, the only formation in which has won. The most representative player of the team is without any doubt the Swedish opposite spiker Marcus Nilsson, already MVP in the 2013 edition of the competition (when he won it with the Novosibirsk jersey) and already seen in Italy with the Piacenza jersey in the 2010/11 season and with the one of Gioia del Colle in the 2002/03 season.
OK Vojvodina Seme Novi Sad will arrive for the appointment as the recent winner of the first seasonal title; the team, in which Podrascanin also took its first steps, has won the national Supercoppa last Monday, surpassing in the final Partizan Beograd for 3-1, thanks to the 27 points of the spiker Peric and to the 18 points of the opposite spiker Blagojevic (ex Molfetta). Against Trentino Volley, Novi Sad has already two precedents; both matches are from the 2015 CEV Cup, ended at the second place from gialloblù. The two Companies faced each other in the round of thirty-two of final; in both cases, the gialloblù had won: for 3-1 in Novi Sad the 5 November 2011 in the first leg, for 3-0 in Trento two weeks later. With the team in Trento there will be the sports director of Club Slobodan Boskan as well, who the long-standing fans of Trentino Volley remembered as the main spiker of the first two seasons of gialloblù activity (from 2000 to 2002).
For the event, Trentino Volley decided to sell only mini-tickets for all 3 matches (tickets for a single match won’t be sold); the first phase of the sale will end this evening and is exclusively reserved for those who have TRENTINONELCUORE Card 2020/21, they can only buy one ticket for each card signed. From Friday 25 September tickets will be available for everyone, as long as there will be left.
