Trentino Itas-IBB Polonia London 3-0, the match report

Match report. For the first international match of the season, among the starting six Angelo Lorenzetti chose Giannelli as leader, Nimir Abdel-Aziz as opposite, Lucarelli and Sosa Sierra at place 4, Cortesia and Podrascanin as middle-blockers, Rossini as libero; Kooy was on bleachers. IBB Polonia London’s line-up consisted of Van Solkema as setter, Nilsson as opposite, Dalakouras and De Paula Ribeiro as hitter spikers, Smith and Clayton as middle-blockers, Tutton as libero. At the beginning, the pace of Trentino’s team is low; IBB is scoring many points, also due to the the foul behaviour of the Cuban gialloblù player at place 4 (he makes 3 errors during the first minutes letting IBB 9-9). Then Nimir begins leading the play scoring 2 ace and giving Giannelli the opportunity to do a block against Dalakouras, thanks to it they got 14-10.  The Time-out doesn’t stop the Dutch player from keep scoring, so as the play starts again Trento is running fast (17-10) even if IBB is trying to catch up (19-13, 22-14 e 25-16).
During the second set the scores remain balanced until 5-5, then Giannelli begins the advantage (9-5). The team from London feel proud of Nilsson’s actions (he scores an ace against  Sosa Sierra too) so they are 10-10; but it only lasts for a while, because the gialloblù Nimir (attack and block) and the Caribbean player on place 4 are playing great and lead the play to +5 (15-10). Lorenzetti lets De angelis (who is playing as libero instead of Rossini) more place to play in receprion, the team shows continuity of play (20-15). At the end Lucarelli is the one leading the play, he keeps scoring and the team wins 2-0 (25-17).
During the 3rd set Argenta, who was substituting Nimir since the end of the 2nd set, keeps playing with De Angelis; Trentino Itas sees the other team come closer to them (7-6), but then Lucarelli begins the advantage again (11-7). The Italian opposite shows his skills too (13-7 and then 16-9). The final result 3-0 comes quickly.  25-15 thanks to the block of Podrascanin.
