Sperotto to “After Hours”: "We have what it takes to go all the way”

The young setter of Itas Trentino Lorenzo Sperotto was the online guest at the weekly episode of “After Hours” on Sunday evening – the show of Lega Pallavolo Serie A hosted by Andrea Zorzi and Andrea Brogioni that every week assesses the situation for the championship of SuperLega Credem Banca 2020/21.
“During last summer, choosing to wear the jersey of Trentino Volley was the right thing for me – said - ; being able to be in close contact with great players is very satisfying and takes weight off my shoulder about being the second setter, and so to have reasonably less time to be on field during the matches. I am satisfied with what I do every day in the gym during training. Of course, I can’t imagine being the second setter for all my career, but there is time to gain experience as first. I would gladly stay in Trento for the next season as well”.
“We have what it takes to go all the way in the competitions in which we still run, Campionato and Champions League – said Lorenzo - . I don’t see many differences between our team and Perugia and Civitanova; maybe there is a small gap, but I believe we can close it during these latest weeks. The semifinal of di Coppa Italia clearly lost in Bologna was hard to swallow, because we wanted to remain in Emilia for the Final of Sunday as well; we didn’t expect a result so clear, but we hope that that defeat may serve us as a lesson. I would steal from Giannelli the determination he puts on the field, even in training, and a little of his physicality; a flaw of Simone? He thinks too much about his nutrition…”
