SuperLega, an hour and a half of joint training with Verona at Sanbapolis (1-3)

Over ninety minutes of actual play and a total of four sets to get closer to the home debut of the season on Sunday against Taranto. The joint training held this afternoon by Itas Trentino men’s team together with Rana Verona at the Sanbapolis gym in Trento (the ilT quotidiano Arena was unavailable due to an international basketball game) allowed coach Fabio Soli to continue his preparation program for the October 6th match with an indicative test match despite the absence of half the starting lineup.
Despite being without Rychlicki, Lavia, and Sbertoli (who did differentiated work), the European Champions moved well on the field, losing only 3-1 to an opponent like Verona, who was able to rotate all the players in their squad during the event. In the first two sets, Trento capitalized on the attacking axis of Michieletto (9 points with 90% attack efficiency!) and Magalini (13 points, the top scorer for the yellow-blues) to stay competitive. They narrowly lost the first set in a sprint but won the second set convincingly. In the second half of the session, there was also an opportunity for those who had seen less playing time up until now. Despite the dominance of the hosts, Bristot (7 points with 50% efficiency), Pellacani (5 points), Pesaresi, and Bartha (4 for 4 in the first set) were ready, showing that they could be valid alternatives to the starting players.
Itas Trentino will return to training only on Friday morning at the ilT quotidiano Arena after enjoying a full day of rest on Thursday.
