Playoffs Scudetto: Cisterna wins game 2 of the quarterfinals 3-1 and equalizes the series

Home-court advantage proves to be decisive once again in Game 2 of the 2025 SuperLega Credem Banca Playoff Quarterfinals. This time, it was the Palazzetto dello Sport in Cisterna di Latina that enforced its law during the second match of the best-of-five series. The hosts claimed a 3-1 victory over Itas Trentino after a tough and balanced match across all four sets, leveling the series and securing another home game (Game 4 on March 26) for their fans (over 2,300 spectators present).
The yellow-blues struggled against the attacking and serving power of the Pontine team in the first two sets, staying close to their opponents but failing to find the breakthrough to change the momentum. However, this happened in the third set, which Cisterna dominated from start to finish, and for part of the fourth set, before the home team managed to land the decisive blow in the advantage, as they had already done in the second set. Despite Michieletto’s 25 points (best scorer and the best player of the match with 25 points, 58% in attack, and 4 aces), Itas Trentino couldn’t recover after a difficult start. Cisterna deserved the equalizing point, particularly excelling in break points and defense, where former player Pace (match MVP) truly stood out.

Below is the match summary of Game 2 of the SuperLega Credem Banca 2025 Scudetto Playoff Quarterfinals, played tonight at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Cisterna di Latina.
