The ENERGY TI Diatec Trentino debut in the PlayOff for Super League UnipolSai 2015 gives them a strong victory in the first match of the series quarter-final against Exprivia Neldiritto Molfetta. The Yellow-blues scored 3-0, inaugurating in this way their climb in the standings that assigns the Championship 2014/15, pushing away the disappointment for the bitter epilogue of the European adventure of 2015 CEV Cup.
After they lost the game against Moscow eight days earlier, PalaTrento was able to celebrate again a success (the nineteenth seasonal one at a ‘home’ game) that allows the winner of the regular season to take a first step towards the semi-finals: to actually be able to play in the next round Birarelli and his teammates will now capitalize on one of the two match balls available in the next two matches (on Sunday in Molfetta, possibly in a week back to PalaTrento).
With the usual concentration Stoytchev’s team suffered but cornered the opponent, relying on the serves (in particular Nemec, who in the end to scored four times) with defensive intensity (38% to network Molfetta from this point of view appears to be quite eloquent) to find an often important insight. After the monologue ever seen in the first two sets, the Exprivia tried to reopen the match in the third period but his large advantage lasted only until 8-12, then they still thought Slovak (MVP and best scorer with 16 points) and the neontrato Giannelli (perfect insertion during construction) to address the first challenge, the Trentino side made their opponents do many errors (13 nets and 12 on the serves). Convincing evidence of the two power plants (80% in the first half from Solé with two blocks, and 57% for Birarelli) and Lanza (11 points with 56%), while for once Kaziyski deserves praise for what he did in the second line (69 % perfect receiving) as shown in the first (44%).
