Trento, October 27th, 2015

After the prologue of last Saturday in Modena on the Del Monte® Italian Supercup 2015, for Trentino Volley Champion of Italy kicks off officially tomorrow night, on Wednesday, October 28th, the 71st Serie A Championship - for the second consecutive year named Super League UnipolSai. In recovery of the first day of the regular season 2015/16, played on Sunday, Diatec Trentino will reach the PalaIper of Monza to meet the hosts of the GI Group. The the match will start at 8.30 pm and it will be broadcasted live on RAI Sport 2 and Radio Dolomiti.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO After the unfortunate epilogue of Saturday's match at PalaPanini, the Yellow-blue formation is about to experience the debut in a league that will see them carrying and defending the title won on May 13th in Modena. Compared to the recent past, the roster of the Italian champions has been renewed for six thirteenths and therefore can not rely on that tried game system, which five months and a half ago allowed the team to win the fourth flag. This is why the transfer to Brianza has many pitfalls. "As it happens often during the first league games, this will be an appointment with several unknowns, first of all physical but certainly also technical and tactical” - said Radostin Stoytchev during the presentation of the match -. “During these past seven days we have never been able to work with all the regular players available and therefore the commitment becomes even more difficult than it already was before, because you have to consider the quality of an opponent like Monza."
The coach of Diatec Trentino must assess the condition of Urnaut, Djuric and Lanza (all three are not at their best physical conditions for problems of different nature), but will rely on the contribution of players who just arrived but already fit perfectly in the trentino game, such as Antonov (record his debut in terms of scored points- 22 like Juantorena in 2009) and Daniele Mazzone.
In fifteen seasons of activities, Trentino Volley won the first championship’s match in eight occasions: 2002/03 (Trento-Milano 3-1), 2005/06 (Trento-Padua 3-0), 2008/09 (Trento-Forlì 3-0), 2009/10 (Trento-Latina 3-1), 2010/11 (Trento-Castellana 3-0), 2011/12 (Trento-Monza 3-0), 2013/14 (Trento-Latina 3-2, for statistics scheduled on the opening day but in fact then postponed to the fifth one, to allow the Yellow-blues to participate in the Club World Cup 2013) and the last (Trento-Padua 3-0). For the fifth time in its history the Yellow-blue Club will debut in the regular season away; a circumstance that is considered particularly unfavorable, considering that the knock out came regularly: in 2000/01 (Parma-Trento 3-0), in 2001/02 (Treviso-Trento 3-1), 2003/04 (Latina-Trento 3-1) and 2007/08 (Cuneo-Trento 3-0).
DEBUT AGAINST MONZA LIKE IN THE 2011/12 CHAMPIONSHIP The league debut against Monza will not be new for Trentino Volley: already in the 2011/12 season it happened that in the first day there was a match against a team from Brianza. However, in that case it wasn’t True Volleyball but Acqua Paradiso Gabeca and the match was disputed at PalaTrento: it was September 25th, 2011 and the team of Stoytchev - World Champion, European and Italian in charge - imposed itself for 3-0. It will be the race number 613 in the history of Trentino Volley; the 332^ far from PalaTrento, where boast of 207 victories and 124 defeats.
PREVIOUS Trentino Volley and Vero Volley Monza have only two official meeting in archives, referring to the matches played the last season and both won by the Yellow-blues for 3-0: December 26th 2014 at PalaIper with partial 25-19, 26-24, 25-18 and April 1st at PalaTrento with scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-22. In the past the Club of Via Trener however, had played seven games (all winners) with another team in Monza (Acqua Paradiso). The PalaIper then has always a smile for Trento, considering also the achieved successes  for 3-1 on December 27th, 2009, on January 30th, 2011 and on January 8th, 2012.
REFEREES The meeting will be directed by the couple from Torino composed of Alessandro Tanasi (from Syracuse, in Serie A since 2002) and Matteo Cipolla (Palermo, in the highest category since 1997). The most recent meeting with Trentino Volley for the first whistle it was on March 15th (home victory against Città di Castello), while the last time when Cipolla directed the Yellow-blues was on May 3rd (success at the tie-break in Modena in Game 1 of the championship final).
