The 2016 summer market of Trentino Volley opens with a major contract renewal: today was in fact signed the contract extension of Oleg Antonov. After an exciting first season, in which it demonstrated all his technical and temperamental qualities disputing most of the races as a regular, the Moscow native hammer - since last summer with Italian passport -, has signed an agreement that will allow him to stay in Trento at least until June 30th, 2018.
The agonistic career of Antonov will then continue in the land where, in 2001, he took his first steps under the net. Following his father Jaroslav in one of his first experiences as manager (between 2001 and 2003 led from the bench Volley Mezzolombardo of Series B1), Oleg knew Trentino Volley starting to play volleyball in this province before entering the Youth Sector of Treviso Sisley’s academy, where in 2006 he made his debut in Serie A1 when he was just seventeen. The bond with Trento and Trentino has become even tighter in the last ten months, punctuated by unforgettable performances (such as those in the Champions League against Belgorod or Final Four in Krakow) and a constant preparation for the Yellow-Blues’ cause, becoming even more appreciated not only by the fans but also by technical and managerial staff.
"Antonov’s contract renewal is totally an acknowledgment to the player for the great contribution and commitment offered in his first season with Trentino Volley” - said President Diego Mosna. -“In the championship but especially in the beautiful ride in CEV Champions League, Oleg contribution was crucial; we are particularly satisfied to extend the relationship with the player because we are talking about one of the best Italian athletes of his role”.
Antonov has returned today in Trentino after a couple of weeks vacation to start training in Cavalese with the Italian national team in views of the debut in the World League 2016.
