He comes from Brazil, a gold medal from Rio 2016 around his neck, and he’s a new player of Trentino Volley. Born in 1983, Brazilian national team middle-blocker, during next season Eden Carbonera will join Trentino Volley coached by Angelo Lorenzetti, contributing with long time experience, first attacks and a strong physique.
His power and technique are his strong points; during his great career he always stood out thanks to the amount of blocks scored and to his incisive jump serves, which allowed him to play a leading role in many successes with clubs and Seleçao. The gold medal recently won in Rio de Janeiro is only one of the many victories in his palmares: World League champion, Pre-Juniores World Champion and three silver medals with Brazilian national team. With clubs, he won seven national championships, three Brazil Cup and two Club World Championships with Sada Cruzeiro.
He is the sixth Brazilian player in the history of Trentino Volley, after Heller, Riad (middle-blockers, like him), Andrè Nascimento, Vissotto and Raphael, with whom he played last season for Funvic Taubatè. He will wear jersey number 3, the same that Birarelli, Sala and Hübner wore before; in September he will play his first season outside Brazil.
