SuperLega, on Sunday at Civitanova big match behind closed doors

SuperLega Credem Banca 2019/20 on the field over the weekend for the twenty-third round of regular season, to be played entirely behind closed doors due to the Coronavirus emergency. On Sunday, 8^th March, Itas Trentino will be back on stage again at the Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova Marche, for the fifth round of the season with Cucine Lube. The kick-off is scheduled for 18.00: live on RAI Sport + and Radio Dolomiti.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO Two weeks after the hard-fought semi-final of the Italian Cup in Bologna, Itas Trentino meets again Cucine Lube for a challenge that in this case puts up for grabs three points for the championship standings. A difficult commitment, like all those supported so far by Trentino Volley in Civitanova Marche (where it has never won), but also stimulating and important to try to keep Milano (committed at home with Padova) at a distance from the fourth position in the ranking.
"Being one step from the top in the game played in Bologna against Lube should not deceive us too much or make us believe that now we are close to winning against this opponent - cautioned coach Angelo Lorenzetti by presenting the commitment - . To be able to respond blow by blow to such a strong team, which now has a high and consolidated standard of play, we will have to work well from the first exchanges, especially from the mental point of view. The approach to the game will therefore be decisive".
On this occasion the coach of Itas Trentino will have to do without Djuric alone (he will stay in Trento to carry out a separate work programme), but he will also be able to count on the baby crusher Alessandro Michieletto (on the pitch tonight in A3 Series in the UniTrento Volley-Torino match).
The match against Civitanova Marche will be the 845^th official match in the history of Trentino Volley, the 457^th away match, in which the Club will go on the hunt for the 590^th overall victory, possibly the 283^rd away from Trento. THE OPPONENTS After the success in three sets in Roeselare (Belgium) obtained on Wednesday evening in the going match of the Champions League quarter finals, Cucine Lube awaits the visit of Itas Trentino for the first home match after the victory of Coppa Italia 2020. A trophy that will not be able to celebrate in front of its audience, but that will surely come back to mind by facing the team that made it suffer so much in the semifinals of that competition. The points up for grabs are particularly important also for Juantorena and his teammates who have to defend the first place in the standings, currently occupied together with Perugia who played one more match than them. The match won with Knack confirmed that coach De Giorgi can count on a very complete team that can make up for the rest given to Leal (excellently replaced by Kovar). At the Eurosuole Forum, moreover, Cucine Lube won nine of the ten matches already played in the league, leaving the opponents with just two points (those obtained by Milano) and a total of six sets.
PREVIOUS MATCHES Trentino Volley and Lube will compete for the 73^rd official match in their history, the fifth of the season taking into account the double 1-3 at the BLM Group Arena (in December, on 22^nd during the championship, in February, on 13^th during Champions League), the 0-3 in Marche region on 26^th January during Champions and the very recent tie break won by the Cucine Lube on 22^nd February in Bologna in the semifinals of Coppa Italia. The balance sheet is favourable to Cucine Lube for 40-32, thanks mainly to nineteen successes in the last twenty-one matches. The only recent victories of Itas Trentino are those related to the 2018 Club World Cup Final (3-1 in Czestochowa) on 2^nd December and the Playoff semi-final match 3, on 22^nd April (3-1 in Trento). At the Eurosuole Forum Trento has never won: eleven defeats in as many previous ones (fourteen, if you also take into account three Super Cup games played against Perugia and Modena).
THE REFEREES The direction of the meeting will be entrusted to Simone Santi (from Città di Castello, Perugia - in A Serie since 1994 and international Fivb since 2011) and Alessandro Cerra (from Bologna, in A Serie since 2014). For the Umbrian referee this is the twelfth match in this regular season, the third with Trento - last time he has conducted the matches on 9^th February in Padua (victory at the tie break) and previously also on 20^th October in Ravenna (success 3-0). For Cerra it's the eighth match of the season in SuperLega, the third with Trentino Volley, he has arbitrated one of its matches on occasion of the semi-final of the 2019 Italian Supercoppa lost 1-3 against Perugia in Civitanova, on 1^st November and the 3-1 home match against Milan on 5^th February.
TV, RADIO AND INTERNET The challenge will be a global media event, with contemporary live coverage on TV, radio and internet. It will be broadcast by RAI Sport +, a channel present both on the digital terrestrial platform (number 57 in HD, 58 in sd) and on Sky's satellite platform at number 227, with commentary by Maurizio Colantoni; the images will also be broadcasted on the Internet in video-audio streaming via the RaiPlay application and will have a continental visibility (twelve connected nations) thanks to live coverage programmed by Sportklub (Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro), Match TV (Russia), Polsat (Poland), BTV Bulgaria, DSmart (Turkey), as well as the main world betting sites served by SportRadar agency.
As always, there will be direct and full coverage on Radio Dolomiti, Trentino Volley's media partner, starting at 18.00.
