Fenerbahce Istanbul-Trentino Itas 0-3, the match report

The match report. Trentino Itas came to Turkey with only the absence of Lisinac (positive for Covid-19 since the beginning of the week); Belgian D'Heer played in his place. The rest of the starting line-up remains unchanged: Sbertoli at the direction, Lavia at the opposite end, Kaziyski and Michieletto as dunkers, Podrascanin as middle hitter and Zenger as libero. Fenerbahce responds with Kaya at setter, Toy opposite spiker, Hidalgo Oliva and Unver in the middle, Batur and Mousavi Eraghi in the middle, Yesilbudak libero. The start of the guests is very decisive; Michieletto immediately gives +3 (6-3) with a couple of winning attacks against the block but an ace by Mousavi Eraghi immediately brings the Turks back (6-5). In the middle Trento runs away again (10-7 and 14-9), taking full advantage of Lavia's net skills, who in addition to the attack also scores two blocks, forcing Castellani to call time out. When the game resumes, however, Lorenzetti's team still dominates at the net (15-10, another block, this time by D'Heer), before Hildago Oliva finds a good series at the serving (15-12). Kaziyski, block on Toy, brings the opponents back to a safe distance (18-13); Fenerbahce believes until 22-18 (Unver's ace), then gives way to Podrascanin and his teammates. Podrascanin closes the first set on 25-20 with a first half.
In the second set, Fenerbahce tries to take full advantage of its serving (two aces right away, one by Mousavi and one by Hidalgo Oliva) to gain some breaks (3-5 and 5-7) and start the set in a different mood. Lorenzetti's time out was providential, as his team then shifted into high gear and tied the score at eight and then took the lead with Lavia (10-8). The Turks, with Hidalgo Oliva, go back to +2 (12-14) but Kaziyski, with the complicity of Mousavi Eraghi (first time out), guarantees a new balance (14-14). Michieletto (20-17), well backed up by Kaziyski, creates a decisive break to give the period. From 16-16, Trentino Itas creates a 9-2 partial score that leads to the 25-18 victory with Alessandro as protagonist also in serve and in attack from set 1.
In the third set, Castellani keeps on field Louati (who took over at the end of the set), playing him diagonal to Hidalgo Oliva, but things don't change from the end of the previous set (7-3), also because Michieletto continues his show this time with the block (three consecutive). The period is already headed to 8-4, also because the Turks soon stop believing in a possible comeback (16-8, 20-10) and the Gialloblù can travel safe towards the 3-0 that arrives on 25-16, also highlighting the scoring streak of Wout D'Heer.
