Supercoppa, Trentino Volley in Cagliari for the 12th participation of the last 13 editions

The game’s rules and locations change, opponents take turns, but Trentino Volley is the only constant. On Monday evening in Cagliari, on the occasion of the semi-final match against Perugia, the Trener Street’s society will jump into the twelfth participation of the last 13 editions of the Italian Supercoppa Final, the thirteenth overall.
During the last years, the methods of carrying out the match has often been changed without excluding the yellow-blue colours on court: the 2022 edition will concern a Final Four again, which will give the first seasonal title in one or two days of unmissable competitions. The two semi-finals will be taking place on Monday October 31st, whereas the final matches will be on Tuesday November 1st (3d-4th place and 1st-2nd place).
In addition to the fourth final places registered during 2016 and 2017 editions, the third during 2019 and 2020 ones, the background of Trentino’s club is linked to 2008 competitions played in Florence (the debut match, defeat 0-3 against Lube), 2010 in Turin (0-3 against Cuneo), 2011 in Cagliari (3-1 against Cuneo), 2012 and 2015 in Modena (2-3 against Lube and 2-3 against the hosts), 2013 in Trento (0-3 again against Lube), 2018 in Perugia (2-3 against Modena) and 2021 in Civitanova (3-1 against Monza): three winning matches on twelve participations. The opening participation on Monday will improve Trentino Volley’s record in the competition’s history: no society had therefore taken part in such finals in very few years ever before.
