Itas Trentino in Scudetto Final for the ninth time!

The third and last chance is the right one to rewrite the history of the series: Itas Trentino in one fell swoop chases away the ghosts of the past and deservedly conquers the pass for what will be the ninth Scudetto Final in the yellow-blue’s history, that will be played with Civitanova Marche starting from May 1st. The desire to conquer that qualification to the final act of the Play Off scoreboard that had been missing for six years (2016 edition) was too remarkable; after having postponed the appointment in the past six days, this time Itas Trentino did not offer any kind of way out to the opponent, closing the semifinal series tonight in Game 5 thanks to the 3-1 comeback victory in which it was able to win over Gas Sales Piacenza.
Dissolving the tension in the first set, won hands down by the Emilians players, the yellow-blue lineup was able to reverse the latest trend, to play bravely and become absolute masters in the court. Indeed, the second, third and fourth sets saw Lorenzetti's team lying on a great break point phase, always pushing ahead in the second half of each set thanks to the significant attack performance of Kaziyski (11 with 45%), Lavia (10 with 43%), Podrascanin (11 with 64% in the first half and 4 blocks) and especially Michieletto, who was rightly awarded the award of the MVP and best scorer of his team (14 points with 2 blocks and 3 aces).
With this result, already today Trentino Volley is certain to be able to play three of the five games of the Scudetto Final series at the BLM Group Arena by virtue of its better position in the regular season compering to Cucine Lube and to take part in the 2024 CEV Champions League.
