SuperLega, 2023 ends with 3-0 home win over Cisterna

2023 holds yet another satisfaction for Itas Trentino men's team; after the unforgettable victory of the fifth scudetto in its history and the fresh title of Winter Champion, which it had not won since December 2014, the yellow-blue lineup also defeated Cisterna Volley on Saturday, inaugurating in the best possible way the second half of SuperLega Credem Banca 2023/24 regular season.
The 3-0 win with which the Italian champions beat Cisterna in the twelfth round of the championship, played Saturday at the ilT quotidiano Arena, allowed them to keep the top spot in the standings and also the three lengths of advantage over the first pursuer Perugia. Compared to the Padua match played on Boxing Day evening, Soli's lineup regained quality and rhythm in all fundamentals, doing well in every single partial. Cisterna tried in the first half of each set to hold up to Trento’s level mainly thanks opposite Faure (20 points), in attack and serve, but in the second half it always had to give way, overwhelmed by the incisiveness at the net of Michieletto (17 points with 70%), Rychlicki (MVP with 77% in attack, two aces a block), Lavia (11) and, in the final set, also Magalini, who put his signature on the result thanks to a positive entry right in place of Alessandro (targeted in reception by the French opposite of Cistrena).

Below is the scoreboard of the match (twelfth round of SuperLega Credem Banca 2023/24 regular season) played Saturday evening at the ilT quotidiano Arena in Trento.
