SuperLega general tests in montichiari over the weekend

The upcoming weekend will be one of dress rehearsals before the official start of the 2025/26 season for Itas Trentino. On Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, the Italian champions will be in Montichiari (in the province of Brescia) to compete in the quadrangular tournament called the “Trofeo Ferramenta Astori,” which will also feature Valsa Group Modena, Sonepar Padova, and Vero Volley Monza.
It will be the Brianza team that will challenge Marcelo Mendez's team in the second semifinal on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the PalaGeorge (the first will be played at 5 p.m. and will feature the other two teams). For the occasion, Itas Trentino, holders of the previous edition of the trophy, will take to the field with the two new World Champions Michieletto and Sbertoli, who were absent on Wednesday in the 3-0 win over Padua in Schio, and will therefore make the most of the tag duo (the finals for 3rd and 1st place are scheduled for Sunday) to start refining their game knowledge and get into the rhythm of the competition.
On the other side of the net, the yellow-blues will face opponents who have already played a number of test matches: Monza has played five, the last of which was against Padua on October 4 (a 1-3 defeat), in which the Germans Rohrs and Zimmerman, fresh from the World Cup, also took to the field. Eccheli's team, meanwhile, has also regained Bulgarian Atanasov (silver in Manila) and can always count on high caliber players the likes of Beretta and Marttila, as well as the additions of Scanferla and Padar.
