The results accrued last Sunday have allowed Urnaut and teammates to gain ground on the first pursuers Perugia and Verona (now distant eight and nine points) and re-open a door to the race in second place in the standings, in the hands of Modena which boasts three lengths ahead. Tomorrow’s match against Milano can thus offer the opportunity to Diatec Trentino to armor mathematically at least the third place (minimum placement already safely in the event of even the victory of a single point in the next three games due to a greater number of victories against who is behind) and staying at stake for the role of deputy leaders of the regular season final standings.
"After the eight points collected in the last days we need to continue on our way to try to obtain the most possible in the last three races, without lowering our level of attention”- said the coach Radostin Stoytchev -. “With Milano we have the opportunity to ensure the third place but also to express a good performance that would bring us to the proper way to upcoming playoff championship. Tomorrow's race is important not only for the result but also to try to show an even better game ahead of the decisive part of the season; we have maximum respect for the opponents, we will try to overcome them with our best weapons. It will be a special game, different from those previously played by Revivre, because compared to the past Milan has recently changed the regular setter and added a middle-blocker such as Georgiev as we know well."
The match of tomorrow evening opens, among other things, a triptych of home commitments in the space of eight days, which will see the tricolor playing in PalaTrento also on Sunday, February 28th against Verona and on Thursday, March 3rd against Lennik for the return of 12 Playoffs CEV Champions League. Considering the very hard schedule of commitments, the Bulgarian technician may therefore continue to apply the turnover already seen in recent games, confirming in the starting six both Nelli and Antonov.
Tomorrow night Trentino Volley will play the official race number 643 in its history, the 294^ ever in PalaTrento and will see the Club of via Trener hunting for the 278^ victory in the regular season.
PREVIOUSLY On Wednesday there will be the fourth chapter of the comparison between Trentino Volley and Power Volley Milano (Company founded only in 2013 and that in this season is competing for the second consecutive time the highest Italian league). So, between the two clubs the only official previous are those referring to the regular-season 2014/15 and the first leg match of the round, closed in all cases with 3-0 for Trento: on November 9th, 2014 at PalaTrento, on February 8th, 2015 at the Forum of Assago and on December 5th, 2015 - the most recent game, at the PalaBorsani of Castellanza (Varese) with partial 25-19, 25-23, 25-23 and Djuric (17 points) mvp. In its previous fourteen championship seasons of A1 Series, Trentino Volley had already dealt with two different teams from Milan: Asystel, in six circumstances, between 2000 and 2003 and Sparkling, on two occasions between 2007 and 2008. The total budget is of slight edge to Trento: six victories against five of Milanese.
REFEREES The meeting will be led by the tandem of Matteo Cipolla (first referee of Palermo, in the highest category since 1997) and Andrea Pozzato (second from Bolzano, in Serie A since 2004); the two whistles are the second joint leadership in UnipolSai Super League 2015/16 - the tenth personal one for the Sicilian, the seventh one for the South Tyrolean. Both boast at least a previous in this regular season with Trentino Volley: Cipolla directed Monza vs. Trento 1-3 on October 28th and Piacenza vs. Trent 0-3 on January 31st, while Pozzato has refereed Trento vs. Latina 3-0 on November 29th, 2015.
